Another new release about which to blog! Our September release included several enhancements to the Project Management area of PLM 360.
I’d like to talk about a few of the ones I find most useful – because I don’t just support and configure PLM 360, I’m an end user too! The past few months I’ve been using the Project Management workspace to manage an internal project, so the first bit I want to highlight is one I was literally quite happy to *see* – maximizing the Gantt chart:
More real estate means much easier to read. It’s interactive as well – if I select a specific task, clicking will allow me to navigate right to it.
A huge benefit to a company adopting PLM is the ability to track who did what, when, where and why (so be sure to use the comments field in workflow transitions!). Now there is better history tracking in the Project Management tab – all project activity is logged in the Change Log.
Doing this blog is reminding me I’m a bit behind on a few tasks. Off to listen to ‘Kids’ by MGMT and get some work done… ^MS
